How To Apply
Submit to Reedley International School the following requirements:
| • Report Card for the past two school years (photocopy only) • Birth Certificate • Passport for Foreign Applicants • Non-refundable Testing Fees for Lower, Middle, and Upper School: Php5,000 • Non-refundable Testing Fees for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten: Php2,000 • Drug Test for Upper School applicants (thru RIS accredited laboratories) • Three pieces 2x2 I.D. picture on white background (currently taken) • Recommendation Form (click to download) • Special Power of Attorney for Guardians (if applicable) |
Pay the non-refundable Admissions Processing Fee.
Get an Application Form. Fill out the application form and return to the Office of Admissions.
RIS will assess the application and schedule the applicant for testing and interview. The Test Permit and Schedule of Interview will be given to the applicant provided the requirements are complete.
On the day of testing, the Applicant is required to bring the following:
• Test permit
• 2 pcs. Sharpened pencil #2
• Rubber eraser
The student-applicant and his/her parent will be interviewed on the scheduled date and time of interview.
For the applicant whose parent is based abroad, they will be interviewed through a telephone call from Reedley International School.
For parents who do not speak English, an interpreter’s fee of PhP1,500.00 will be added to the Admission Processing Fee.
The result will be out in three (3) to five (5) working days after testing and interview provided requirements are complete.
If the applicant meets all entry requirements and that there is availability of slots, then a Letter of Admissions Decision and Certificate of Eligibility for Enrollment will be issued.
Upon receipt of the Certificate of Eligibility for Enrollment, the applicant will proceed to enrollment.
Reedley International School accepts students on the basis of an entrance examination that covers Mathematics, Science, English and IQ. Their deportment and academic performance from their previous schools and a personal interview with the student and his/her parents are also taken into consideration.
Based on the evaluation of the Admissions Committee, some students can be recommended to other academic programs of Reedley International School.
Reedley International School is now accepting student applications for School Year 2009-2010.
1. Follow Steps 1-3 in the Regular Admissions Procedure.
2. An applicant seeking entry into Grade 5 till Upper School IV may be exempted from taking the Admissions Test if he/she satisfies any one of the following conditions:
• A standardized test recognized by RIS: ITBS, CAT, Stanford 9 or 10, ISA, ERB. This may be accepted in lieu of the entrance test.
•The former school is accredited by any of the following: WASC, CIS; and IB provided with a GPA/GWA not lower than 2.50 or its equivalent. The final grade in Math and English should not be lower than 85 or its equivalent.
•The former school is a Science High School like Philippine Science High School provided the GPA/GWA is not lower than 2.50 or its equivalent and the final grades in Math and English is not lower than 85 or its equivalent.
•The former school is accredited by PAASCU limited to Ateneo, La Salle, Xavier, Miriam, St. Scholastica, Poveda, ICA, St. Pauls and Assumption provided with a GPA/GWA not lower than 2.50 or its equivalent. The final grade in Math and English should not be lower than 85 or its equivalent.
3. All submitted documents will be for evaluation of the Admissions Office. The placement of the applicant will depend on the evaluation of the submitted documents.
4. Follow Step 6 in the Regular Admissions Procedure. All applicants exempted from admissions testing will still undergo the focused interview with a Counselor.
5. ADMISSIONS PROCESS TIMELINE
Day 0. Submission of application form and other required documents. Evaluation of documents. Interview with the applicant provided all required documents are submitted.
Day 1. Release of Letter of Admissions Decision (LAD) 24 hours after the interview.
